Yolanda "Judy" Castro

Yolanda Judy Castro 69 of Levelland Tx passed away peacefully surrounded by her love ones on Friday January 9th, 2026 in Lubbock, Tx. Judy graduated from Levelland High School in 1974  She was self-employed and “ CDL” Child Development License and owned and operated Judy’s Day Care center in Levelland for over 5 years. Her hobbies were taking her mother shopping.  Enjoyed basking in the sun in her back yard tanning and reading her bible,  Taking care and helped to raise most of her nieces and nephews and great nephews and nieces as well and she loved her babies so much that if someone was mean to any of her babies “Watch Out” Judy would come after you!.  Judy refused to let physical limitations define her she lived life fully and Enjoyed every moment liked going on sister trips and family trips.  Watching Grit Westerns John Wayne and Walker Texas Ranger movies and Hawaii 5-O on television, Her favorite NFL Team were The Dallas Cowboys, listening to Elvis Presly music and movies, Tejano Music, Loved Chrissy’s delicious Pozole, Anthony’s wonderful BBQ and Frank’s fabulous cooking.  Excellent listener and gave sound advice with love to all her family.  Always visiting over the phone with her best friend Elida Bazan Graf. Judy was a lifetime member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Leveland.  A lady of integrity, sincerity, and love uniquely one of a kind.   Judy will be missed deeply and forever remember with love by her family and friends.
