Steven Zapata

Steven Zapata, 58, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on April 4, 2026. He was born to Casimiro and Lenora Zapata, who preceded him in death.

Steven married Connie Chapa on May 9, 1998. He worked for many years as a truck driver and was a devoted husband,  and brother. He is survived by his wife, Connie; his son, Joshua Barragan; and his siblings: Norma Zapata, Joann Zapata, Greg Zapata (Sandy), Deanna Perez (Tommy), Elbert Zapata (Betty), Jesse Zapata (Mary), and Rachel Zapata.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Casimiro Thomas Zapata Jr., Rene Zapata, Leroy Zapata, Johnny Zapata, and Isreal Zapata, his niece, Sara Adreanna DeLosSantos, his nephew Greg Zapata Jr and his nephew Kelly Don Lucero

Steven loved spending time with family and his fur babies, listening to music, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He was known for his humor, his kind heart, and the ability to make anyone laugh—he never met a stranger.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
