Rodolfo, “Rudy”, was born on July 19th, 1944 to Rodolfo Sr. & Gregoria V. Garza in Kennedy. He married Mary Lou Hernandez in 1963 in Brownfield. They moved to Levelland from Brownfield in 1985. Rudy worked as a farm laborer for many years until he retired. His hobbies included listening to music, especially Vicente Fernandez, going hunting, watching old Cowboy Western movies, and collecting, working on and refurbishing old classic cars and trucks. His passion in life was spending quality time with his family.
Rodolfo was preceded in death by his parents; Rodolfo Sr. & Gregoria V. Garza, spouse; Mary Lou Garza, 5 brothers; Oscar Garza, Jesse Garza, Rey Garza, Santos Cardona, Porfidio Cardona, 5 sisters, Armandina Rodriguez, Ceocepsion Martinez, Selvia Guerrero, Eva Villaneuva, Francisca Garcia, son; Andy Garza, 2 grandsons; Daniel De La Rosa, and Nicholas Garza.
He is survived by his sons; Paul Villarreal, Freddie (Patricia) Garza, and Christopher Garza, all three of Levelland, daughters; Janie (Sam) De La Rosa, and Isabel (Joe Luis) Hinojosa, of Levelland, Sylvia (Jesse) Garza of Sundown, sister; Belia Pena of Levelland, brother; Adam (Felicitas) Garza of Sundown, 23 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday May 28th at 2:00p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Levelland. Father Jonathan Phillips will be officiating under the direction of Head Duarte Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at the Levelland Cemetery.
