Rosa Maria Childers

 Rosa Maria was born on March 6th, 1955 in Mercedes, TX  to Donato and Guadalupe Perez Salazar.  She graduated from Levelland High School in May 1973.  Rosa worked for the Hockley County Sheriff’s Dept. and the Lubbock County Sheriff’s, Dept. for several years as a Jailer and Guard. Rosa was a Home Health Care provider in her later years. Her hobbies were watching sports, television, collecting ceramics, and was a plantsman. Her favorite baseball team was the NY Yankees, and football team was the Dallas Cowboys. Her favorite television show was The Golden Girls. She loved to attend all of her grandchildren's sporting events. She loved to collect ceramic elephants and taking care of her plants. Most of all, she loved spending quality time with all of her family. She was a wholehearted woman, always giving. 

She was preceded in death by her Parents; Donato and Guadalupe Salazar.

She is survived by her Son; Corey (Sandra) Childers of Odessa, 3 Grandchildren; Noah Childers, Kyara Childers, and Brianna Childers, Great Granddaughter; Kamreigh Rose, Sisters; Isabel Fraire, Louisa Leaks, both of Levelland, Lina Carty of Lubbock, Janie Sustaita of Lansing Michigan, Patricia Bautista of Bakersfield, CA, Several Nieces and Nephews, and Companion of several years; Alfred Young of Levelland. 

Visitation will be Monday, July 27th, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Recitation of the Rosay will also be Monday at 7:00PM. in the Funeral Home Chapel.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday July 28th at 11:00AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Levelland. Deacon Sergio Vidales will officiate and Johnny Vasquez will provide the music. All under the Professional Care of Head Duarte Funeral Home. A facial mask is required to enter the church and the Funeral Home.
