Richard was born on June 15, 1959 to K. P. & Shirley J. Tillmon of Levelland, TX. He accepted Christ early at the age of 7 and was baptized at Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He attended public schools in Amarillo, TX and received his Associates Degree in Business Finance from South Plains College in Levelland. He married "The Love of his Life", Laretia Jones on October 29, 1983 in Levelland and they had three children. He was Owner, Operator, and chef of Richard's BBQ Restaurant  for over 30 years in Levelland and always wore a smile. His hobbies included going to the casinos in Las Vegas, dancing with his wife, and listening to Motown and R & B music. His loved spending quality time with all his family and friends.  

Visitation and reflections on life will be held Monday, July 20th, 2020 from 3:00 P.M. until  8:00 P.M. @ Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel of Levelland.

Graveside services will be at the Levelland Cemetery July 21st at 11:00A.M. Officiating the service will be Pastor Ricky Altman.

He was preceded in death by Parents; K.P. and Shirley J. Tillmon and spouse of 33 years Laretia J. Tillmon.

He is survived by Daughter; Tanikka King, of Midland, Sons; Sedric King of Levelland and Dewayne King, of Midland, Brothers; Raymond (Evelyn) Jones of Ocean Side, CA., Taylor (Aneta) Clemons of Dallas, TX, Maltan (Mechelle) Penns of Amarillo, Sisters; Linda Sue Haywood of Chula Vista, CA. Gloria Tillmon of Clarendon, TX, Opale (Kermit) Erwin of Deerbox, TX, Erma Fitts of Abilene, TX., 8 Grandchildren; Cameron, Amirro, Lisa, Aviron, Zachary, Elexus, Zephlynn, and Keyare
