Rafael Macias Torrez, was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather / Uncle.  He was a hardworking and  dedicated  true family man.  He married the love of his life and best friend Elizabeth Alvarado on January 20th, 1973 in Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico and were blessed with two sons from this union.  They moved from Minnesota to Levelland, Tx and have been there ever since.  He worked for several Oil Companies like Red Devil Richard Natian, and Verna Drilling, from 1980 to 1988, Also for Love field South West Airlines in  DFW from 1983 to 1984.  He worked for Levelland Independent School District from 1997 -2001 and South Plains College from 2001 until 2016 as a custodian & Maintenance Man and Landscaper.  His hobbies was fishing, going to Las Vegas, Nevada, going to the boxing match, cooking on the Disco, and Barbequing outdoors, making his boys some delicious flat jacks “Pancakes” size of a sand dollar but they were some good eaten! He enjoyed going to the car shows, vacations with his family to the mountains.  He was a Master Diesel Mechanic and liked working on engines.  Rafael’s world was his whole family and a very kind man that would give his shirt of his back to help everybody or anybody.  He was a Sagrado Corazon and a Crusita for several years serving our Lord and God dedicated his life to his Religion.   A longtime active member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland.

Grandchildren:  (3) Madalynn Partida Colwell Ana -Leigh Partida, and Lyllah Partida

Sisters: Petra T.Quiros, Rosario T. Alvarez, Carmen Torres, and Consuelo M. Delgado all four of Del Rio, Tx
