Myndi Padilla, 46, of Levelland, Texas, passed away on March 23, 2026, leaving behind a lasting legacy of laughter, kindness, and love that will never fade.

Born on October 31, 1979, in Levelland to Baltazar and Avelina Estrada Padilla, Myndi lived her life like a Texas tornado— fierce, vibrant, and impossible to forget. Every day she found a way to make others smile, whether through her quick wit, kind heart, or boundless energy. She never met a stranger and had an uncanny gift for making everyone feel like family.

A devoted friend, beloved daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt Didi, niece, cousin and proud “mom” to her fur babies, Myndi’s joy filled every room she entered. She gave freely of herself — her time, her humor, her heart — and those who knew her were better for it. Her laughter, larger than life, will echo in our memories forever.

Myndi now joins in heaven those dear ones who preceded her in passing: her maternal grandparents, Antonio and Josefina Estrada; her maternal aunt, Martha Sylvia Estrada; her maternal uncle, Felipe Sanchez; paternal grandmother, Daria Padilla; her paternal uncle, Ruben Padilla; her sister, Christina Rejino; her brother-in-law, Arnulfo Cera; and her beloved fur baby, Jackson Wayne.

She is survived by her parents, Baltazar and Avelina Padilla; sisters Angie Covarrubias and Rachel Padilla; nieces Mia Gonzales, Ella and Alivia Rejino; nephews Johnathan and Aiden Covarrubias; aunts, uncles, cousins, numerous friends, and her other beloved fur babies, Dexter and Leon.

Family, friends, and all who loved her will celebrate Myndi’s incredible spirit with stories, smiles, and the same big-hearted energy she brought to the world every day. Her legacy is not measured in possessions, but in the countless lives she warmed.

We ask all who loved Myndi to help carry her love forward, one small act of kindness at a time.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 1st 2026, at 1 p.m. in the chapel at Trinity Church, 7002 Canton Ave, Lubbock, Texas.
