Maria A Rodriguez Obituary

Maria, was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, Grandmother, great Grandmother, and great great grandmother.   She married  Jose Perez Rodriguez  in 1950 in   Torreon,  Coahuila, Mexico.   They had 12 children from this union.   She was a Custodian for 20 years at South Elementary in Levelland.  Maria, was the owner and operator of  her family restaurant in Levelland.  Her passion in life was reciting her rosary daily, and kissing all her grandchildren’s pictures before going to bed nightly. 


Her hobbies were playing scratch off tickets, casinos, and going to the bingo.  Excellent cook and cooked for everyone.  She worked all the time.  A life time member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland.

Spouse of 42 years:  Jose Perez Rodriguez


Daughters:  Elsa Rodriguez , Maria De Jesus

Brothers:  Carlos Avalos, Casimero Avalos, Antonio Avalos


Grandson:  Juan Rodriguez Jr.   Great Grandson:  Mason Rodriguez

Daughters:  Sylvia Rodriguez ( Julio Garcia ) Ramirez of San Antonio, Indelisa (Eli) Bazan and Veronica (Michael) Alvarez both of Levelland


Sons:  Juan (Gladis) Rodriguez of Ft. Worth, Jesus (Virginia) Rodriguez, Guadalupe  (Vickie) Rodriguez Antonio Rodriguez, Felipe (Adriana) Rodriguez all  four of Levelland, Francisco Rodriguez (Felix) of San Antonio.

Brother:  Lorenzo Avalos of California
