Mabel Vasquez was born May 28, 1929 in Lake Arthur, N.M. to Santos Vasquez and Maria Sanchez. She married Alex Osorio on February 14, 1980 in California. They moved to Levelland from California in 1988. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, reading, listening to Latino music and made the meanest plate of Enchilada’s in Texas. Mabel is a life time member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Levelland. Mabel went home to be with the Lord on October 8th.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; Santos Vasquez and Maria Sanchez, Spouse; Alex Osorio, Sisters; Ynosencia Marquez, Mary Vasquez, Margarita Ochoa, Brothers; Angel Vasquez, Nicolas Vasquez, Luis Vasquez, and Ernest Vasquez
She is survived by Son; Ruben Frescaz of Levelland, Daughter; Bobby Ruth Cardenas of Lubbock, Grandchildren; Matt and Nathan Cardenas and Yvonne Smith, and 6 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 10th, 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 11th, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. @ Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel of Levelland. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. nightly at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel of Levelland.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 12th, at 2:00 p.m. @ St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland. Officiating will be Father Jonathan Phillips and music will be provided by Johnny Vasquez. Interment will follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery of Levelland
