Louis Rey Murillo was born on August 25th, 1948 in the small town of Camaron, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to his parents Valentin and Delfina Lopez Murillo. He graduated from Levelland High School in 1968. Louis married Gloria Gomez on September 10th, 1973 in Levelland, Texas. He worked for Baker Hughes for over 35 years as an oilfield truck treater and retired recently. His hobbies were watching baseball, softball, and westerns and collecting knives. He, like his father, prided himself on his beautiful landscaping. He was a die-hard Texas Tech fan (but he was very proud of his granddaughter who attends UT.) His favorite NFL football team was the Kansas City Chiefs. He coached several basketball, baseball, and softball teams for his children and grand children .Louis was a lifetime member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Levelland, Texas. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and the community of Levelland.
