Lorenzo Casas Obituary

Lorenzo nació el 5 de Septiembre de 1947 en Coyame, México de Manuel Casas Morales y Rosa Quezada Guerra. Fue a estar con el Señor el 22 de Octubre de 2020. Asistió a la escuela en México. Se movio a los Estados Unidos cuando tenía 17 años para comenzar una nueva vida. Lorenzo se casó con Carmen García el 1 de Julio de 1978 en Lubbock. Trabajó como carpintero y obrero de la construcción para varios empleadores. Sus pasatiempos favoritos eran cocinar a la parrilla, hacer barbacoas, acampar, pescar y soldar, era mecánico de oficio. Su pasión en la vida fue pasar tiempo con todos sus nietos. Fue miembro de la Iglesia Católica San Isidro de Sundown.

Reflexiones de Vida y Rosario se llevará a cabo el viernes 30 de Octubre a partir de las 6:00 p.m. hasta las 9:00 P.M. @ Capilla de la Funeraria Head Duarte de Levelland. Los servicios de oración conmemorativa se llevarán a cabo el sábado 31 de Octubre a las 11:00 a.m. en la Capilla de la Funeraria Head Duarte de Levelland. El oficio será el P. René Pérez y música a cargo de Johnny Vasquez.

Lorenzo was born September 5, 1947 in Coyame, Mexico to Manuel Casas Morales, and Rosa Quezada Guerra. He went to be with the Lord October 22, 2020. He attended school in Mexico. He moved to the United States when he was 17 to start a new life. Lorenzo married Carmen Garcia July 1, 1978 in Lubbock. He worked as a carpenter and construction worker for various employers. His favorite hobbies were cooking on the grill, barbequing, camping, fishing, and welding, he was a mechanic by trade. His passion in life was spending time with all of his grandchildren. He was a member of San Isidro Catholic Church of Sundown.

He was preceded in death by his Parents; Manuel Casas Morales, and Rosa Quezada Guerra, and Brother; Juan Casas

He is survived by Daughters; Belinda (Jose) Mendez of Sundown, Rosemary Casas of Colorado, and Esmeralda (Jose) Cendejas of Irvine, CA., Sons: Lorenzo Jr. (Arasely) Casas of Anaheim, CA., Raul (Julie) Casas, Jesus Casas and Pedro Casas all of Lubbock, 20 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, Sister; Maria Herrera, Brother; Manuel Casas both of Odessa.

Reflections of Life and Rosary will be held Friday, October 30th, from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. @ Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel of Levelland.

Memorial Prayer Services will be held on Saturday, October 31st, at 11:00 A.M. at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel of Levelland. Officiating will be Fr. Rene Perez and music provided by Johnny Vasquez.

Honorary Pallbearers: All the children

Internment: To be announced at a later date.
