Leah Dawn Pickering was born on September 16, 1983 in Roswell, New Mexico and passed May 2, 2025 in Levelland, Texas. Throughout Leah’s life she lived in Bledsoe, Whiteface, Levelland and Lubbock, TX. She graduated from Whiteface High School in 2003. She worked for Burger King for over 10 years in Levelland. She also worked for ResCare for adults with special disabilities, and for West Texas Pavilion at UMC as a Custodian for 4 years.
She was a devoted “people” mom and dog mom, she cherished her canine companions as much as she cherished her kids. She loved to garden, and spend time with her family. One of her favorite hobbies was gaming which she was pretty good at.
Leah is survived by her fiancé; Chris Martin; Parents: Rick and Jeanette Pickering Fuller of Whiteface, a sister Denise Fuller of Levelland, Daughters: Sya Marquez of Lovington, N.M., Tonya Ayers and Lexi Martin (Cassie) both of Midland. Sons: Fredrick Martin of Whiteface and Christopher Martin, II of Midland. Nieces and Nephews: Olivia, Brooklyn, Jaedan, Kamryn, Kaislyn. Grandchildren: Adain, Jay Jay, Lilliana, Bodie
She is preceded in death by her Grandmother: Gloria Jean Pickering, Grandfather: James Pickering.
Leah was a very beautiful and kind person that would do anything for anybody. She never met a stranger, and would make friends just about everywhere she went. She will truly and deeply be missed.
