Julia was born December 22, 1949 in Slaton to Hipolito and Dominga V. Lopez. She attended school in Levelland. Julia married Jesus Eduviges Granado on June 23, 1987 in Levelland.  She worked as a waitress at the Bounty Inn, The Spot Restaurant, and the Dairy Mart, for several years. Julia enjoyed going dancing with her husband, sewing, quilting blankets, and going to garage sales with her sisters. Julia was a great cook and especially loved being with all of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Hipolito and Dominga Valenzuela Lopez, Son; Jerry Lee Rodriguez, Brother; Robert Lopez

She is survived by her Spouse of 33 years; Jesus Eduviges Granado, of Levelland, Sons; Gilbert Rodriguez, Ricky Rodriguez, Felipe Rodriguez, Jesus Joe (Maria Guadalupe) Granados, all four of Levelland, 19 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren, Brother; Juan Lopez from Alamogordo, N.M., Sisters; Vicky Gonzales and Elisa Lopez Penalber both of Levelland, Micaela Lopez of Hobbs, N.M., and Anita Lopez Hernandez, of Wichita Falls, TX.

Visitation and Reflections on Life will be held Wednesday,October 14th and Thursday, October 15th, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. nightly at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland.

Services will be held Friday, October 16th, at 10:00 a.m. @ St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Levelland. Officiating will be Fr. Jonathan Phillips and Fr. Rene Perez. Music will be provided by Johnny Vasquez. Interment will follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery of Levelland.

Pallbearers: Gilbert Rodriguez, Ricky Rodriguez, Felipe Rodriguez, Jesus Jose Granados, Juan Lopez.
