Juan Rodriguez Sr., was a wonderful husband, spouse and father. He married Luz Maria Lopez in 1956 in Morton and they had six children from this union. He worked as a diesel mechanic and a professional truck driver for Mcham Mechanic in Sundown also a self employed truck driver for Rodriguez Trucking Company for over 32 yrs. Worked for Willingham Cotton Gin in Morton. Juan’s passion was attending church at Calvario with Pastor Robert Smith in Levelland and La Primera Iglesia Bautista in Morton for several years. He enjoyed fishing at Corpus Christi, Wichita falls, and Lake Ray Hubbard, Galveston Bay were his favorite places. His hobbies were cooking, watching his favorite cowboy movies like Bonanza with Dan Blocker, Wild West, and Gun Smoke, Lucha Libre wrestling, singing, reading his bible, preaching, and picking up hitch hikers when he was a truck driver and taking them to his home and feeding them and giving them a place to sleep but, Mrs. Luz was not to crazy about this laugh out loud. Juan was just a kind loving man to everyone he met no one was a stranger he literally gave his shirt off his back. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
