Jovita Lynn Barrera went home to be with our Lord surrounded by her family on Tuesday morning in Lubbock. A very talented young lady went to gymnastics School Mulkey’s Gymnastic School also known as Acrospirits and the Flying Matadors in Levelland was a candidate attending competitions meets. She was a very talented young lady and was also a cheerleader. She graduated from Smyer High School. She was blessed with two children. Jovita, worked for TDCJ in Lubbock for over 7 years as the office ministrative assistant, The AT&T Call center for 16 years and Walmart Super center for several years. Her hobbies were arts and crafts Dimond painting, butterflies of multitude colors, favorite color purple, listening to a variety of tejano and 80’s & 90’s rock the Foster / Selena Quintanilla-Perez music, doing puzzles, going on road trips to Dallas and to the ocean South Padre Island Texas where her brother lives. A very loving and caring person with a heart of gold. She was a Christian and a Catholic. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
