Jose Isavel Reyes Jr. was born July 6, 1937 in Jalisco, Mexico to Jose Isavel Reyes Sr. and Donaviejes Escalante Reyes. He received his high school diploma after he moved to the United States. He married Florencia "Lola" Resendez September 2, 1960 in San Antonio. He worked for Procter & Gamble Corporation in Levelland for over 20 years as a Lint room operator. Jose was a farmer, rancher, and sold fire wood. He enjoyed hanging out and barbequing with his family and watching his grandchildren play sports. He loved traveling to Mexico to visit friends and family. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church of Levelland. Jose went to be with the Lord November 4, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; Jose Isavel Reyes Sr. and Donaviejes Escalante Reyes, Spouse of 58 years; Florencia "Lola" Reyes, Brother; Juan Reyes, and Sister; Cuca Reyes.
He is survived by Sons; Jose I. (Christine) Reyes) of Las Cruces, N.M., David (Patti) Reyes of Lubbock, Antonio Sr. (Alicia) Reyes of Hobbs, N.M., Daughters; Olivia Reyes (Rumaldo) Tienda, Irma Linda (Danny Brackens) Reyes, Mary Helen (Shane) Myers of Levelland, Marylou Reyes (Jerry Pesterfield) of Lubbock; 16 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation and Reflections of Life will be Friday, November 6, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. @ Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel of Levelland.
Recitation of the Rosary will be Friday, November 6th, at 7:00 P.M. @ Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel of Levelland.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 7th, at 10:00 A.M. @ St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland. Officiatingwill be Fr. Jonathan Phillips and Fr. Rene Perez and music will be provided by Johnny Vasquez. Interment will follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery of Levelland.
