Gerardo Loa Jr. proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era, from 1965 until 1967, and continued his service in the reserves for several years afterward. He dedicated over four decades to his role as a professional forklift operator at the Levelland Cotton Compress. He embraced retirement, finding joy in tinkering with his cars and trucks in the comfort of his shop located at his home. He delighted in collecting and restoring old classic cars, often attending car shows to showcase his passion for vintage automobiles. Gerardo also found great enjoyment in watching custom car restoration TV shows. His personal collectionincluded a1957 Chevy Bel Air, a 1969 Mercury Ragtop Convertible, and a 1934 Ford Pickup, each one a source of great pride for him. Among his other hobbies, he enjoyed watching late-night talk shows and attending swap meets. He dearly loved his family and valued the moments shared together.
