Estella, attended high school in Levelland in her younger years and continued her education in Eastern New Mexico University Campus in Roswell, N.M. where she received her certificate in arts & science as an educator. Estella married her best friend and the love of her life Alfredo Gonzales Jr. on September 16th,1971,in Levelland they had five children from this union. A hard worker she was as a correctional officer at TDCJ in Kyle, Tx for several years. A childcare giver and teachers Ade for Little Tykes in Ft. Worth and Head Start program for 9 years in Levelland, Tx. An excellent cook for the school system as well. Her hobbies were playing the piano, listening to Tejano & R & B , Rock N Roll on the radio and dancing to the music, watching her Novellas Mexican soaps on television, playing Mexican bingo and winning, was a fabulous cook, going shopping to good will and garage sales with her sister Sara, Traveling with her family on cruises. She attended a women’s catholic retreat in 2006 and has been a strong member since “DeColores” is their moto meaning the many colors of Christ El Cursillo.. Estella, was a CCD Christian doctrine Sunday school teacher for children. Also a eucharistic minister on Sundays and Wednesdays. The passion of her life was spending quality time with all of her family and grandchildren. A long time member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland.
