Dora Venegas Obituary

Dora Venegas went home to be with our Lord on April 22nd, 2026 in Lubbock.

She married Isaac Venegas on May 1st, 1971 in Emilio Caranza, Mexico.  They moved to Levelland in 1972 from Pep, Tx.  Dora was a fantastic cook and made the best green enchiladas, refried Beans, Potatoes, and home-made tortillas.  She liked listening to her Mexican music, watching her favorite shows like Casos De La Vida Real , and Rosa De Guadalupe, liked scaring her grandchildren by flipping her eye lids and running after them while they would be screaming, planting her yearly garden of chili peppers and crocheting and knitting blankets for all her family. Dora made beautiful home-made purses with soda can caps very talented.  Would fold all her bags from the grocery store real nice and neat.   Loved all of her grandchildren and would sing to them the La Guadalupana.  Enjoyed going on trips with her husband to Mexico to see all her family and friends.

Dora was a long time member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland.
