David, was born on July 16th, 1969, in Levelland, Texas to Sammie L. Sr. and Carrie L. Atkins Dent. He graduated high school in Levelland and continued his education attending SPC taking courses in Law enforcement. Married Glenda Reaves on November 18th, 1989 in Levelland and they had two children from this union. He worked for Levelland ISD, Sundown Tubing Inc. As Supervisor and Monarch Marble Granite for several years. David, loved being involved in sports activities softball, basketball, football; his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Tech. He was a true cowboy and would go horseback riding and was with The Forgotten West Riders Horse Club, He enjoyed fishing, camping, and taking his grandchildren on outings. He would continue working after putting in a full day of work and would go home to mechanic on his friend’s vehicles and was always happy to help everybody. Sophia, his granddaughter was his road dog and the apple of his eye, and he loved spending time with her as with all of his grandkids Zavian, Brylee and nieces and nephews Deshawrenea, Ezekial always supporting them and spending quality time with them; in naming a few it does not take away the love he had for the for all of his grandkids and nieces and nephews; David loved his family and spending hours and hours with all of them during special occasions or just everyday get togethers made him happy. He loved the time he spent a host of cousins and friends.
