Daniel Martinez Garza

Daniel Martinez Garza was born November 28, 1958 to Federico Garza and Connie Martinez Garza in Morton.  He attended Morton High School. He worked for various farmers, South West Gin, and Morton Cotton Gin by the Country Club for several years. He married Virgina Medina in 1977 in Morton. Daniel and Virginia were blessed with six children. Daniel enjoyed cooking, reading, listening to Freddie Fender, Little Joe Y La Familia. He would enjoy and participate in rooster fighting. He loved eating at one of his favorite restaurants, Church's Chicken, in Lubbock on the weekends. He loved special occasions and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Father; Federico Garza, Son; Frederick Garza, Brothers; Mingo Garza and Roel Garza.

He is survived by his Mother; Consuelo Vestal of Morton, Daughters; Nancy (Castulo) Granados, of Rockwall, Christina Garza, Linda Garza, and Mary Garza (Jeremy) Banning, all three of Whiteface, Vanessa Garza (Xavier) Perez, of Lubbock, 13 Grandchildren, Sisters; Lesby Alvarez, and Tiva Garza, both of California, Anna Garza, of Tyler, Tressa Vestal, of Levelland, Trina Williams of Morton, Brothers; Richard Garza, David Garza, Johnny Garza, Alex Garza, and Abram Garza, all of Morton.

Visitation & Reflections of Life will be held Tuesday, September 29th, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. @ Head Memorial Chapel of Morton.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 30th, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Morton. Officiating will be Pastor Mario Hernandez and music will be provided by Rosa Hernandez. Interment will follow at the Morton Memorial Cemetery.
