Benito Resendez

Benito Resendez Sr. passed away September 28th. He was 72 years of age. He was born February 13, 1948 in Elida, N.M. to Jesus and Amelia Alaquinez Resendez. He worked for Jerry Garrett as a farmer in Whitharral and a contract painter with the family business. His favorite past time was watching The Dallas Cowboys, old western movies, Monday night Raw and Friday night Smack Down professional wrestling. Benito liked to travel and visit his family, cooking on the grill, and taking care of his yard. He enjoyed eating out at the restaurants and spending time with his great grandchildren. He was a long time member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Levelland.  

He was preceded in death by His Parents; Jesus Resendez Sr. and Amelia Alaquinez Resendez, His Spouse; Rosa Sainz Resendez, Son; Benny Resendez, Sister; Rosa Resendez, 3 Brothers; Raymond Resendez, Jesse Resendez, Cruz Resendez

He is survived by daughters; Norma Linda Resendez (Joe) Garcia, and Teresa Lee Resendez, both of Levelland, 4 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, Brothers; Johnny Resendez of Levelland, Sisters; Janie Leal and Ester Leal both of Lubbock and Hortencia Montanez, of Levelland.

Visitation & Reflections of Life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3rd, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 4th, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. @ Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel of Levelland. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday evening at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel of Levelland.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 5th, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland. Officiating will be Deacon Sergio Vidales and music provided by Johnny Vasquez. Interment will be announced at a future date.
