Andrew G. Guillen earned his G.E.D. later in life, demonstrating his determination and commitment to personal growth. On December 23, 1961, he married his best friend, Felicitas Castellon, in Hale Center, Texas. Together, they built a loving family and were blessed with five children.

Andrew dedicated 25 years of service to Johnson Manufacturing Company, where he worked as a certified professional welder. He also served as a licensed insurance agent for Directors Life Assurance Company. In 2000, Andrew and Felicitas moved from Abernathy to Lubbock, where they made their home for the remainder of his life.

A man of deep faith, Andrew was a longtime member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Abernathy. After moving to Lubbock, he became a devoted member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He faithfully served the Lord through his involvement with the Sagrado Corazón, the Men’s Cursillo Movement, and as an Ecclesiastical Minister and Narrator in various liturgical roles. He was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.

Andrew enjoyed spending time with his family, especially fishing, watching wrestling, and cooking outdoors on the grill. He was known for his exceptional cooking skills and took great pride in preparing his famous salsa de habanero, homemade tortillas, menudo, and many other delicious meals that brought family and friends together.

Above all, Andrew was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He cherished his family and cared deeply for each of them. His kindness, faith, and unwavering love will be greatly missed by all who knew him and will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
